Nice to meet you, my name is Ken. I previously spent several years working at the Embassy of Japan in the Middle East. Watching local people get excited about Japanese handicrafts, tableware, anime goods, and character merchandise made me realize how deeply our culture resonates around the world. At the same time I wondered, "How can I personally deliver that excitement to more people?" Back then I could only observe, without any tools of my own. I longed for a way to build a bridge between Japan and the rest of the world. That search led me to engineering and Shopify. Writing code lets me create systems, and by using Shopify I can send great Japanese products to customers overseas. The path I had been looking for suddenly appeared in front of me. Since then I have honed my skills, taking on more than 30 domestic and international Shopify projects over four years. From theme development and app integrations to cross-border setups, multilingual support, and operational improvements, everything is rooted in a desire to share more of Japan with the world. I hold another belief too: technology is only a means to achieve a purpose. Whether it is a Japanese craftsperson and an overseas fan, or a brand and its customers, I want to use my skills, language ability, and communication style to close that distance. There are still countless Japanese products waiting to be discovered globally. If I can help them cross borders and add a bit of richness to someone's life, it truly makes me happy.
