Globaltech (contact: Kenya Tanaka; “we” below) handles the personal information received through the contact form as described here, with regard to the applicable laws.

01What we mean by personal information

In this policy, “personal information” means information about a living individual that falls under either of the following.

  2. b)Information that can identify a specific individual when readily combined with other information

We collect personal information only when you submit the contact form. The items collected are as follows.

  1. a)Name (required)
  2. b)Email address (required)
  3. c)Phone number (optional)
  4. d)Your message (required)
  5. e)The IP address you send from (handled temporarily, to prevent a large number of submissions in a short time)

03How we use it

We use the information you provide only for the following purposes.

  1. a)To reply to your enquiry
  2. b)To continue the conversation about your enquiry
  3. c)To prevent abusive or bulk submissions (IP address)

We do not use it for any other purpose.

04Sharing with third parties

We do not provide your personal information to third parties.

05External services we use

We use the following external services to run the site and receive your enquiry. The information passed to each is listed below.

  1. a)Resend (email delivery): your name, email address, phone number, and message. Used so that your enquiry reaches us by email
  2. b)Google reCAPTCHA v3 (telling automated submissions from real ones): information as defined by Google. Google’s privacy policy and terms apply
  3. c)Vercel (hosting and server-side processing): connection information from your visit
  4. d)Upstash (submission rate limiting): the IP address you send from, kept for 10 minutes and then removed automatically

06How we protect it

We take the following measures to prevent leaks, tampering, and unauthorised access.

  1. a)All communication with the site, including form submissions, is encrypted with SSL/TLS
  2. b)Google reCAPTCHA and rate limiting prevent automated and bulk submissions
  3. c)The server log records only whether a submission succeeded or failed; the message, email address, and phone number are not logged
  4. d)Received enquiries can be viewed only by Kenya Tanaka at Globaltech

07Cookies

This site uses cookies only for the following purposes.

  1. a)To remember your choice of display language (Japanese or English). It contains nothing that identifies you
  2. b)Google reCAPTCHA may use cookies to tell automated submissions from real ones, subject to Google’s privacy policy

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising. You can change how your browser handles cookies; if you refuse them, the display language will be detected automatically on each visit.

08Keeping and deleting

We keep and delete your personal information as follows.

  1. a)Received enquiry emails are kept for three years, then deleted
  2. b)The IP address used for rate limiting is removed automatically after 10 minutes
  3. c)If you would like information you sent to be deleted, please contact us through the contact form. We will delete it once we have confirmed it is you
